Shows in April and we're not foolin

Next Tuesday at the Catacombs in Butler Pennsylvania we will be playing with indie darlings, The Soil and The Sun. Check out the link if you want to know why this should matter in your end of the universe.

Further details and other minutiae for the show (like cost, time and natural laws) can be found here.

To be honest/serious, we are very excited about this show. The Soil and The Sun represent the best of what we hope for in art and music.

Also, they are eight people and a baby. Sounds like the next golden opportunity for The Learning Channel or "TLC" as our hip friends call it.

Don't go chasing waterfalls.

It has been far too long.

What to say?

We've lost and gained and lost a member in the past eight months and have decided to continue as a five piece. A creative tornado ensues, catching us up and depositing the whole mess in Oz, with the wizard and the small dog and the dead witches.

We escape by sheer will and run into the wise mage Christin Nelson (of Listener) and he scratches his beard and declares that we will record our 2nd LP in October. I roll a 20 and slay the foul mage!

Then he waves his wand and we find ourselves back home.

We begin to write for our lives.

Also, we may have a major show annoucment before the end of today. One of those "secret Myspace shows" sort of things. (If you don't remember, then we're too old)

Let you know when and if we do.

Regardless, show(s) coming in April.

We are back from tour.

Sorry that we haven't updated in awhile, but just read the headliner.

In other news, we have shows coming up and lots of things to think about.

Pictures and maybe a video or two incoming.

Thank you to Cornerstone for another wonderful year, and to all of our friends both old and new that came out to a show. We love each one of you deeply, from the heart.

First Review is in from IVM

"Haunts is an exploration of mystery, a subtle and somber journey to the depths of the human soul. There are moments of hope and joy, just as there are moments of grief and confusion. In the end we get a picture that is painted delicately, full of complex yet minute details that do not make a show of themselves. Rather, the sounds and images used here work gently to pull the heart and mind in different directions, and the genius of this release is that all this immense emotion is easily missed if one is not open and attentive. In other words, it works just like the real life it portrays."

Thanks Indie Vision!

The treasure is right here:    http://barebranches.bandcamp.com/

We did it.

The show last night that is.

People liked it.

We had our album on hand for the first time and we put it in other hands.

Danielson was superb, Homeless Gospel Choir channeled Dylan and we didn't have any major equipment malfunctions.

We are going to unveil the album in pictures later on today.

We also hope to have some risque photos from last night's show.

The album should be available on CD Baby very, very soon.

We are also looking forward to a review or two this week.

Hopefully we don't suck.

I hope my ears stop ringing soon.

Thanks America!
